Dimensions of all our vehicles can be found in the Fleet section. In this case, we recommend renting an N0 to N1 category vehicle from us, which are comparable in dimensions to passenger vehicles, but still provide enough space for transporting cargo. With other vehicle categories, entry to the garage is prohibited.

At AVIS, we do not have a strict policy prohibiting the transport of pets. However, if you use our services in this manner, we ask that you take extra care before returning your vehicle to avoid cleaning fees and interior damage charges that are not covered by collision insurance.

A vehicle condition check is carried out before each rental. The current condition of the vehicle is recorded on the Acceptance Report. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure that any damage to the vehicle is noted on the report. If you find damage to the vehicle that is not listed on the Acceptance Report, please contact AVIS branch staff before using the vehicle.
We accept credit card payments: Avis Charge Card, Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club Card valid for at least 6 months after the end of the rental period and Online payments via the payment gateway on this page. We only accept credit cards in their physical form (use of Apple PAY, G-PAY and others is not possible).
Yes, it can, but at a fee determined by the applicable fee schedule for additional services. Each driver who will be driving the vehicle must present himself at the branch and show his identity.

If you are not satisfied with the vehicle, please contact or visit the AVIS branch where you picked up the vehicle and depending on the range of vehicles available, we will exchange the vehicle for you. However, please note that a change of booking (change of vehicle type) may result in a change to the rental amount. You will be informed of the difference in price.

You can drive our vehicles throughout the European Union and Europe without restrictions. Exceptions are the following countries: Albania, Bulgaria, former Yugoslavia (except Croatia and Slovenia), Russia, Ukraine, Romania.
The customer is obliged to verify and also to pay at his own expense all fees associated with the entry and use of the roads in the country in question.
The vehicle can only be rented or returned during the opening hours of each branch.
HOW MUCH ?
The rental price depends on the model, location, length of rental and mileage. One day is counted as 24 hours and every day started is charged.
During the booking process, please pay attention to the general terms and conditions for all important information before you book and collect the vehicle.
WHEN?
A deposit is required prior to rental, which can be paid in advance by online payment or debit/credit card in the Reservation management section, or directly at the branch when collecting the vehicle.
It is not possible to pay in cash.
The vehicle must be returned refuelled and clean enough to be inspected.

No, all AVIS vehicles have pre-paid motorway tolls within Slovakia.
The amount of the deposit is individual for specific types of vehicles. Choose a specific vehicle category, check availability and make an online deposit, which will be credited back to your account after the rental (after deduction of the rental amount). As a rule, the refund takes up to 5 working days.
If you do not see the funds released after this time, the delay is probably due to the issuing bank, so please contact our booking office by email at info@avis.sk, where we can send you a confirmation of the settlement on our side with which you can contact your issuing bank.
Before crossing the border, you need to check what fees are required for commercial vehicles in that country and enter them as a requirement in the booking notes. All our vehicles are equipped with a Slovak vignette and part of our fleet is equipped with Austrian ECO plaques. Foreign vignettes must be obtained at your own expense.

PLEASE NOTE: When entering Hungary with a van, you must purchase a D2 category vignette, which applies to all commercial vehicles.
We do not complicate VEHICLE RELEASE unnecessarily. a) Administration, which does not take much time - checking of personal documents: ID card (passport), driving licence. b) Deposit: you will need a credit card with a minimum validity of 6 months to make a deposit. (Also valid if you have paid the deposit online) c) Vehicle inspection: our vehicles are thoroughly inspected before each rental and any existing damages are recorded in the handover report. RETURN OF VEHICLE: The vehicle must be returned at a pre-agreed time, at an agreed location. The vehicle must be returned with a full tank of gas and in a condition to allow for inspection. Any damage or defects to the vehicle must be reported to the rental staff. The vehicle can be returned during the opening hours of the branch.
